KANGKUNG


KALE

Scientific name Ipomoea Aquatica Forsk 
Local Name: Clumps, kale, kangkong, pangpong, lara, Kanto, are. 

General Characteristics: Including family Convolvulaceae. Is an herb that grows herby spread with a length of 3 meters. Round rod, creeping, branched, green color. Single leaf, lancet-shaped, grow alternate, pointed tip, base rompang (splitting), flat edge, pertulangan pinnate, 3-15 cm long, 1-9 cm wide, green color. Single flower, trumpet-shaped, grow in axillary, purple. Bell-shaped flower petals, leaves small-sized protector. 3-5 cm long flowers. Seeds are small, hard, a diameter of 1 mm, a dirty white color. Taproot, yellowish white color. 

Chemical Ingredients: saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, Carotene, Vitamin A and C, minerals (iron, calcium, and phosphorus), as well as calories. 

Benefits: Drug insomnia, prevent constipation (stomach cramps), lowers nervous tension, and can indirectly relieve high blood pressure.
